How We Obtain SMS Consent
For patient messaging programs operated by CIVIE on behalf of participating healthcare providers, patients may voluntarily opt in in person by completing and signing a physical paper SMS consent form provided by the participating healthcare provider. The patient provides their mobile telephone number and reviews the messaging disclosures before signing. Signed consent forms are retained as evidence of the patient’s affirmative opt-in.
